January 4th 2010: The Inauguration of Burj Dubai

Today is a historical Day for Dubai and the UAE. The tallest building in the world will be inaugerated today at 8:00pm by the Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Muhammed Bin Rashed Al Maktoum. It's truly a proud day for us as emaratis because we proved to the world that as Arabs we have proved that we are a civilized, educated and an ambitious nation that has the spirit to tackle any challenge that is thrown our way.
And as for the 'media' that mocked Dubai and its Ruler, well...I'd like to think that today Dubai has given them the world tallest middle finger. *cheeky grin*
