Our resolutions and a Ferris Wheel

Yesterday me and my closest of freinds decided to go to the Global Village for our monthly gathering since it was a weekday and less crowded.
I haven't been there for 5 years but my best freind strongly recommended that we go there to get of the Ferris Wheel, but before we did we were supposed to write our new year resolutions on a small peice of paper and once we are on the very top of the ferris wheel we rip it to shreds real fast and scatter it away.

At first i was amused but I thought it was an interesting and unusual move so I thought, why not! I felt that there was something poetic about it, plus it's certainly something I will never forget with my dearest freinds who were with me since 7th grade!

Anyways before the clock strikes midnight tonight, I will toast a glass of aaah.. Vimto, and bid adieu to 2009, and welcome 2010 with a positive and happier heart. I wish you all a wonderful 2010 full of joy, happiness and money....because frankly i'm sure we could all use little more of that during these times. ; )

Thoughts: My resolutions..no seriously

Two days left for 2010. InshAllah it will be a better and a brighter beginning. Yes I might sound a little too optimistic but that's the way I like it! Life's too short to even live a little of it in gloom and doom. So here are my New Year Resolutions:

• Live with the 3 E's -- Energy, Enthusiasm and Empathy
• Read more books than I did in 2009
• Take a 10-30 minutes walk daily. And while walking, I’ll smile
• Not to compare my life to others
• Not to have negative thoughts or things I cannot control.
• Not to waste my precious energy on gossip
• Make peace with my past so it won't spoil the present
• Call family often
• Spend time w/ people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6
• Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful
• No matter how cranky I feel, get up, dress up and show up
• The best is yet to come.. (That’s what my dearest friend Shurooq always tells me and she’s so right!)
• Thank God always for everything!

Might seem like a long list but it’s so simple that I’m planning to start with it today =)

A leap of Faith

January is just around the corner and I'm mentally preparing myself for the flight of some major projects and changes! Preparing for my Master's degree, working on my new business and changing my lifestyle.
*sigh* so much responsibility coming up so Time management is a must!
God give me strength and ease the restlessness in my heart and mind.

Beautiful Arabic wedding stages

Been busy looking for some interesting Arabic Wedding stages just to get some ideas for my big brother's wedding and I found these lovely design that i'd like to share with you all. Enjoy! You'll need to start from the bottem and up to get the idea of the set up.
Btw, in two photos there are decorated and expensive perfumes known as 'Oud' and the darker it is the purer and stronger the smell is. It's preferable to use it only in important occasion. If a lady use it on daily basis (such as malls nad places where there are alot of men) she would be considered in our society as 'cheap'. Not my rules people! =)

Shoe gallore

I don't know why but for some strange reason I just decided to search for some glamorous heels (can't help it, I'm a girl!) and found these lovely things! Most of these images come from Style Me Pretty, Tying the knot, Bella Flore & Exquisite Bride.
